Welcome back to 2013

My goal this year for reading is to read as fast as I talk.
My goal this year for maths is to know all my twos, threes, fours, five, six, nine and ten divided by's off the top of my head.
My goal this year for writing is to keep my head down during writing time to write interesting stories.

Maths-Working out my six times

I am learning to work out my six times tables using the compensation strategy.
My problem was I have six friends who have six strawberries each. How many strawberries do I have altogether.
Watch how I use my five times (an easy times table I know) to work out my six times.

Athletics.

My goal for running is to never give up even if I'm coming last.

I have learnt that on every dairy farm their is only one bull (a boy cow).

Reading-Main Idea

Yesterday the Roald Dahl reading group learnt how to interveiw people. Each of us got to interveiw each other I interveiwed Shaynie-Lee, Sam interveiwed me and Shaynie-lee interveiwed Sam. We did it because we had just finished reading a book called AND THE WINNER IS...we had to think about the main idea and what number we would give it out of 10 or1.

Assembly time!!

Ya!! its assembly time. On the10/8/12 it was Room 11's assembly. My favourite part was when I got to read the Three Little Pigs well not really but our own version of the three little pigs it was called One Fierce Dog and Three Sneaky Cats it was my favourite part because it was made by me, Tawhiao, Sofia and Rhiannon.
